The numerous benefits include:
• Increased energy and rejuvenation of organs and cells
• Detoxification, restoration, balance, and oxygenation of the cells

After beginning with meditation and a short walk-through of experience in the group, Jasmine will flow through a full-body awareness flow and pepper in a few preps for inversions. Prepping the body for inversions will include hamstring awareness, shoulder mobility and stability, chest openers and wrist/forearm warm-ups and overall awakening of the entire body.

This workshop is meant to create a safe space for you to try or practice one or several inversions with assistance. Learning the process of trial and error, knowing that it is a practice and that it takes time!

Shoulderstand, headstand, fore-arm stand and handstand will be observed and you can come to practice all or one!

Learn to assist each other as support so if you practice with a friend, maybe bring them along!

Yoga and Writing Series begins February 26th In Yoga and Writing Series begins February 26th

In partnership with @writersguildab join us for a mini-series of weekly yoga and writing workshops intended to explore the therapeutic overlap between physical movement and creative writing.

Sam Warwick and Lisa Tierney will share prompts and readings throughout each unique session exploring themes of clarity, impermanence, resilience, reconnection, compassion, heart, and how the pandemic has impacted us individually and collectively over the past two years.

The studio will be heated to a warm temperature to invite our physical bodies to drop more easily into imagination and transportive reflection as we weave between gentle (mostly yin) postures and exploratory writing time. Participants can choose to register for the full series or individual sessions. All sessions are intended to encourage ease in the body, peace to the spirit and creative flow to the mind.

February 26 - opportunity to take stock of the present moment and to observe where (and why) we may feel stuck physically and emotionally.

March 5th - explore postures, questions and notions of freedom, safety and release.

March 12th - delve into the vulnerability and courage of heart opening, both in yoga and in storytelling.

No yoga or writing experience is required. Blocks and bolsters will be available at the studio to create comfortable sitting arrangements and writing surfaces. Please wear comfortable exercise/yoga clothes and be ready with a notebook and pen. In studio writing will be longhand.

For those who will be joining us virtually, it is highly recommended to create a quiet space at home with a yoga mat, at least 2 blocks (or dictionaries!) and a bolster.

Today is a day to love you up❤️ Yes it’s a Today is a day to love you up❤️

Yes it’s a day we typically share our tenderness with others and that’s a lovely thing to do. Share your passion and affection with all.

Today, though, let it be a reminder to love you. Seriously.

Where is the love for yourself?
When we grow into such affection we realize that real appreciation won’t come from validation of others, it will come to us as we cherish who we are.

So, what part needs your attention? What part needs your patience? Where can you be more kind?
What part or parts need a reminder that you are worthy beyond measure and loved beyond words?

The sum of who we are is because of all the parts and pieces. Welcome waves of acceptance and tenderness to every piece of you.

You are loved. That is capital T truth.
