My first yoga class was led by a family friend when I was 15 years old. I continued to dabble with yoga asana during my teens, but got sucked into seeing it as another way to change my body.

I stumbled down a path of disorder around food and perfection.
My yoga practice and I got a little more serious while in University as I worked to heal my relationship with food and my body on and off my mat. A deep desire to share the practice of yoga lead me to create accessible yoga for fellow students to help manage the stress of schoolwork. We used a video projector to play yoga videos on the wall and practice in whatever space we could get. It was at this time that I knew I wanted to get my YTT to deepen my own practice and share the gift of yoga sans video projector.
I studied a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition at Acadia University in Nova Scotia and now practice as a Registered Dietitian with a focus on Intuitive Eating and Body Image. I then went on to complete my Yoga Alliance Certified 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Breathe Hot Yoga and have recently completed my 50hr Yin YTT with Candace and Lisa at Yoga Santosha!
As I reflect on over a decade of practicing and studying Yoga, I am humbled and immensely grateful for my teachers and the yoga community that has enriched my life and relationships. It is my hope that my offerings guide you to ground into the present moment so that you can connect to the expansive nature of Oneness with all that is.
