How soon can we reopen?! Honest answer is - we don How soon can we reopen?! Honest answer is - we don’t know yet!

The government has made a new announcement today regarding Stage 2 and the truth is we aren’t quite sure what it means for us.

We absolutely want to open and we are in the process of deciphering what is required and how to comply to all the measures properly.

Your support and patience have been a guiding light for us all. We literally wouldn’t be here without you all.

Thank you for being with us as we continue to navigate this. What a ride!

Meantime keep checking back here for any updates. We will let you know as soon as we know. And of course our Livestream and Video on Demand classes continue. Make sure you check out our new 30 min classes - Fire 30 & Chill 30.
‘My favourite thing to do during the pandemic is ‘My favourite thing to do during the pandemic is hang out with my amazing family. I have never felt so grateful to have these beautiful people in my life. I definitely don't have a favourite kid but I have to say it's been a pleasure to have our eldest son at home and wanting to hang out with us. I'm sure he'd never be hanging out with us like he has been if he didn't have to. He's 18 and one of the most social people out there, this is a privilege that I'll never forget.

I still really enjoy teaching! I thought I'd hate teaching virtually and never be able to feel natural or myself. Well, funnily enough, I really enjoy it, and it's a great way to feel a connection to our community. During the first lockdown, I didn't teach on line, except for our teacher training. After I did that I knew that I'd do it if we got locked down again. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I knew I could do it. Also, during the first lockdown, I had to homeschool our youngest two and that was so full on and intense!!

I used to be a Realtor for ten years...I quit doing it about 6 years ago because our kids were young and I was also busier teaching back then. Since the pandemic, I decided that I'd go back, so for the last 5 months, I've been working on getting relicenced....Well, I did it! Yay! I passed my final exam and will sign up with a brokerage next week.

I'm extremely grateful for the practice of yoga and for the amazing yoga community that has helped to keep us uplifted during these hard times and through the hard times that we've experienced in the past. Without this incredible practice I wonder how I'd still be here, for real.
In 2007, we went through what most would describe as the hardest thing you could go through...We lost one of our children to cancer. It was more than devastating, I thought I'd die with him. Although it took time, through the practice of yoga, through teaching and building our beautiful community, and with the love and connection of our incredibly resilient family, we were able to heal, to become whole again. I'll be forever grateful.

I know that these times now are extremely hard but together, we'll rise!! I'm sure of this!’ ~ Candace
My time since the pandemic started can be summed u My time since the pandemic started can be summed up briefly:
I've been studying about the body, mind and spirit from various lenses including Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, neuroscience, psychology, kinesiology and sociology. It's been FASCINATING. I've been working on myself (that's a full-time job right there!). I've been cooking and eating really delicious things!! Mmm. I love food, especially curries and noodle dishes (I love spices and flavour!). I've been spending A LOT of time with my dog, Jasper and some time with my partner, Steph (she's a nurse though so she's been working a lot since this thing started). There's been MANY MANY walks, trips to the dog park and Jasper cuddles (even when they are not consented to). I've been reading poetry which I LOVE! Rupi Kaur is a new favourite for me. I am learning how to soften and be gentle with myself. I have also stepped fully into the role of an IAYT Yoga Therapist as of this year which is something I have been working on for the past few years. I am pretty proud of myself and excited to share what I've learned about healing with the world. I've also spent lots of time on my mat- sometimes moving and sometimes laying in reclined butterfly with my weighted blanket falling asleep (that's one of my favourite things to do). And baths. Lots of baths. Oh and I’ve also been crushing Ru Paul’s Drag Race and Schitt’s Creek! ~ Alë

I take a breath and close my eyes.
I see thousands of snowflakes dance and then come to rest.

Wiping it sweetly clean.

Mother Nature reminds us again and again of impermanence and of exquisite beauty.

Every snowfall a reminder there will always be beginnings.

If nothing stays then why is it that we hold on so tightly to our thoughts, our ideas, our judgements? Why is that we attempt to discolour or sully the beauty and grace in each new, fresh moment?

Every single breath we take is a new one. Every moment we begin. Again and again.

Time to let go, open wide and create.
The canvas is yours.
I AM HERE How often do you look so far ahead that I AM HERE

How often do you look so far ahead that you can't imagine how you could even get there? Or you stop, turn around, and look back at where you came from? And in the process you miss out on being where you are? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Most of us have a tendency to spend our time in the future or in the past and we miss out on the opportunity of being present in the NOW. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The body, the past. The mind, the future. The breath, the bridge that links the two into the present moment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nature reminds us. Yoga reminds us. One breath at a time. This is our practice. This is our pathway to presence in the present.
