As a student of Yoga, I do my best to refine my understanding of both the philosophy and the practical application of yoga. As a teacher, I share the physical and mental techniques in a way that is relatable and understandable.
The fact that Yoga is still being practiced, understood and utilized in our modern age shows the potency of this system of Self Understanding.
My process is aligned with the tradition of yoga being a contemplative practice. I return to it consistently. I use the physical postures and breathing practices to feel healthy and comfortable in my body. I use the contemplation and meditation practices to observe and focus on my body, my breath and my senses. Doing this allows me to unravel and open to a state of mind that is clear, stable and content within my direct environment. This creates a more constant and accessible state of discernment. The practice supports me in clear decision making, creative potential and expression. I remain more grounded and in a state of internal acceptance, fulfillment and freedom. I am able to access and embody this more consistently in the midst of life’s natural highs and lows.
