Learn the benefits of the poses physically & energetically, the correct use of props, the offering of assists, and the art of remaining in the pose.

Using each persons unique bodies and minds as the roadmap to understanding, learn the difference between compression and tension, yin and yang, and the principles of a Yin Yoga practice.

As a student learn how to create sequences to cultivate an enriched home practice. As a teacher learn how to create sequences that both safely and effectively guide yoga students.

Commit to 2 hours and 30 minutes for this adventure.

Meditation and Pranayama will be for 20 minutes; the asana practice ends up being around 1 hour; and then we fully drop into the Nidra practice for 45 minutes.

There’s ample time to drop in, embrace the present and give into the magic and possibility of this journey.

Bring light layers for asana with additional layers and support for the nidra practice.

Bring comfortable clothes, eye pillow, pillow, and journal.

Liberate: A Method To Somatic Freedom 

Emotions need to be recognized, felt, and given space to move and morph, they are feelings expressed through behaviour or bodily movement. Most of all, emotions need to be acknowledged for what they are fundamentally meant to be, impermanent.

Liberate: A Method To Somatic Freedom is a six-module body-centered trauma-informed training offered both online and in-person. This training takes a deeper dive into the experience of being human, offering tools and techniques in overcoming dysfunctional patterning held in the nervous system, the tissues, and the Spirit. 

Throughout six comprehensive modules, an appreciation and understanding of the neurological, psychological, social, and spiritual effects of trauma will be investigated through the theoretical lens of the Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Labanian Movement Methodology, Jungian psychology, in addition to Runic and Buddhist psychology. Through a combination of introspective and cathartic movement practices complemented by didactic instruction, the wisdom of symptoms that were once hidden in the shadow of the unconscious now become the key to your liberation and healing. 

This is an invitation into the realm of your shadow, meaning that which you have dismissed about your past, your purpose, and yourself. This is an invitation to embark on a supported journey from light to dark in sanctioning what you fear. In the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, no mud, no lotus; our liberation lies here.

This training is for you to nourish your personal practice, in addition to a professional client base.

Each module includes 15 hours of in-class experiential and didactic course work totalling 90 hours. Additionally, hard copies of the course content will be provided for each module to make up a take-home training manual for future reference. Modules must be completed in sequential order.

Our time together will be involved, raw, and unveiling. Come prepared to move and be moved.
