This 50 hour intensive is led by @candacecooke and @lisartierney ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The teacher training will be an exploration of the physical, mental and energetic benefits of Yin Yoga. Learn how to cue yin postures, the benefits of the poses, the correct use of props, the offering of assists, and the art of remaining in the pose.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Using each persons unique bodies and minds as the roadmap to understanding, learn the difference between compression and tension, yin and yang, and the principles of a Yin Yoga practice.

As a student learn how to create sequences to cultivate an enriched home practice. As a teacher learn how to create sequences that both safely and effectively guide yoga students into a yin practice.

We are looking for Part-time Desk Staff for our Mission and Kensington locations!

The ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, a strong eye for detail, and experience working with computers. 

They will be expected to interact with members and consciously create a culture that is consistent with Santosha’s vision and values.

🗓️We are looking for multiple candidates to fill one or more of the following shifts:
- Tuesdays, 4-8pm (only for Feb)
- Thursdays, 4-8pm
- Saturdays, 9:30am - 4:30pm
- Sundays, 1:30-6:30pm

🤸🏻‍♀️Job Duties
- Follow established systems
- Work with MindBody
- Complete data entry
- Update inventory and supply lists
- Set up practice rooms
- Limited cleaning and laundry
- Be a point of contact for clients entering, calling, and emailing the studio
- Match clients with products and services
- Conduct courtesy calls to welcome new clients
- Maintain transparent communication amongst staff and upper management/studio owners, including email, instant messaging and regular interpersonal communication.

✅Job Requirements

- Have experience in an administrative role
- Experience with MindBody software considered an asset
- A passion for yoga and building community
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among staff and management
- Established customer service skills
- A strong eye for detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Be passionate about yoga

- $17/hour to start

Calm your mind and body in a supportive environment for your toddler!

We know that they will be moving around and we welcome this! We offer a safe container for them to explore and connect and a time for you to unroll your mat.
 
This class is designed to release areas of tension and build strength with grounding, mindful movement.
 
Coming together with other caregivers to breathe, stretch and strengthen is a fun and relaxing way to get out and create community. Interactive songs that promote body awareness for your little one are included at the end of each practice.

Here's how the 90 minutes will unfold:

Gentle, fluid, wiggly, releasing, light, movement. Yoga available for all levels. The sequence will be led thoughtfully to those who both have a regular and those who do not have a regular yoga practice.

Then sitting or laying or kneeling with breath. Some time will be spent with yoga breathing techniques. This will mostly be connection to breath with mantra.

Compassionate inquiry. A few led questions to ponder. to contemplate, to bring in or release out. Journal, Listen, Meditate. 

Final portion will be a yoga nidra. Laying directly on spine wrapped in warmth (bring a blanket) and comfort, led in a full body relaxation meditation infused with a sankalpa/energy to bring into the New Year.

Join Calgary-based musician and song-writer, Nat Inga and yoga teacher/therapist, Alë Veffer for a fun and invigorating series of devotion through mantra. Nat & Alë will teach you some of the mantras (through call and response, at first, along with printed copies to read) and we will chant these powerful Sanskrit songs together and lift our spirits. You can expect some movement and breathing exercises as well! This class will be explored with lots of Leela (play) in a supportive, safe environment. All levels are welcome, no experience is necessary. 

What is Kirtan?
Kirtan is a vocal form of praising some form of divinity. It is Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion.
