Yoga Teacher Training Terms of Service
1. Registration and Acceptance

By registering for the Yoga Santosha Teacher Training Program, the student agrees to these Terms of Service and acknowledges that participation requires commitment, attendance, respectful conduct, and completion of all required coursework.

A student’s place in the training is confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received.

2. Program Tuition and Payment

The total tuition for the program is $3299 plus applicable taxes (unless early bird or other discount).

Students may pay in full or choose an approved payment plan. Payment plans must be arranged before the start of training and completed by the agreed final payment date.

Failure to make scheduled payments may result in suspension from the program or withholding of the certificate of completion until the balance is paid in full.

3. Deposit Policy

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve a place in the training.

The deposit is applied toward the total tuition. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable except at the sole discretion of the studio.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If a student withdraws from the program:

More than 30 days before the start date: tuition paid, less the non-refundable deposit, may be refunded.
Within 14 days of the start date: no refunds are available.
After the program has begun: no refunds, credits, or transfers are available.

Missed sessions, withdrawal, illness, travel changes, work conflicts, or personal scheduling conflicts do not qualify for refunds.

In the unlikely event that the studio cancels the training, students will receive a full refund of tuition paid.

5. Attendance Requirements

Students are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions, practices, lectures, practicums, and required classes.

To qualify for certification, students must complete all required hours and assignments. Any missed hours must be made up in a format approved by the lead trainer. Additional fees may apply for private make-up sessions.

Excessive absences may prevent the student from receiving certification.

6. Certification

Completion of the training does not guarantee certification.

To receive a certificate of completion, students must:

Attend the required number of training hours.
Complete all assignments and practicum requirements.
Demonstrate appropriate understanding of the material.
Participate respectfully and professionally.
Pay all tuition and fees in full.

The studio reserves the right to withhold certification if these requirements are not met.

7. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to participate with respect, honesty, and professionalism.

The studio may remove a student from the program, without refund, for behaviour including but not limited to:

Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation.
Disruptive or unsafe conduct.
Repeated lateness or absenteeism.
Substance use or impairment during training.
Breach of confidentiality.
Failure to follow studio policies or trainer instructions.

8. Health and Personal Responsibility

Students are responsible for their own physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing during the program.

Yoga practice, training exercises, breathwork, meditation, and group discussion may involve physical and emotional experiences. Students agree to listen to their bodies, modify as needed, and inform the trainers of any relevant injuries, medical conditions, or limitations.

Participation is voluntary, and students assume responsibility for any risks associated with the training.

9. Medical Disclaimer

The training is educational in nature and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic care.

Students should consult a qualified healthcare provider before participating if they have medical concerns, injuries, pregnancy, mental health concerns, or other conditions that may affect participation.

10. Training Materials

All manuals, handouts, recordings, documents, videos, and training materials are the intellectual property of the studio and/or trainers.

Students may use these materials for personal study only. Materials may not be copied, shared, sold, published, distributed, or used to create another training program without written permission.

11. Recordings and Online Access

Some sessions may be recorded for educational or make-up purposes. Recordings are for enrolled students only and may not be shared or downloaded unless permission is given.

If online access is provided, students are responsible for having suitable internet, audio, and video access.

12. Privacy and Confidentiality

Students may share personal experiences during the training. All participants agree to respect confidentiality and not share private information about other students outside the training environment.

The studio will collect and use student information only for purposes related to registration, communication, payment, certification, and program administration.

13. Schedule Changes

The studio reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, trainers, location, format, or curriculum when necessary.

Students will be notified of significant changes as soon as possible.

14. Missed Sessions and Make-Up Work

Students are responsible for arranging make-up work for any missed training hours.

Make-up work may include written assignments, attending another session, watching approved recordings, or booking a private session with a trainer. Private make-up sessions may be billed at $150 per day missed, $75 per half day missed

15. Transfer Policy

Tuition and deposits are not transferable to another person, program, or future training unless approved in writing by the studio.

Approved transfers may be subject to an administrative fee.

16. No Guarantee of Employment

Completion of the training does not guarantee employment, teaching opportunities, auditions, or placement at the studio.

Hiring decisions are separate from certification and are based on the studio’s needs, teacher readiness, availability, experience, and suitability.

17. Photo and Video Consent

The studio may occasionally take photos or videos during training for promotional or educational purposes.

Students who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify the studio in writing before the training begins.

18. Agreement

By registering for the program, the student confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
