This has been a very challenging summer for many people. Many of us at Santosha have been affected by the flood. I was out of my place for a week and my sister was flooded in Sunnyside. These kinds of situations can lead to lots of stress. A fellow yogi at Santosha named Heather Thompson decided as a registered acupuncturist to lend her expertise to help. She and a few other practitioners decided to set up mobile clinics in Bowness and High River. She incurred some out of pocket expenses which she has started to get back and she has spent quite a few weekends since July in High River helping those residents. I think this is what being a true yogi is all about, a true good neighbor and a compassionate human being. I thank you Heather and if you see her or talk to her let her know that her heart is in the right place.
