In wake of the recent flooding in Calgary, Tiny Devotions reached out to Yoga Santosha to submit a guest post on their own blog. As many of our yogis well know, Yoga Santosha carries a variety of Tiny Devotion’s beautiful malas for sale in our studio. When we approached Ryan, our Assistant Manager, he was happy to oblige for the lovely company based out of London, Ontario.
What you might not know is that the founder, Diana Charabin was in Bali, Indonesia when she began creating the designer mala necklaces. The Balinese are known to leave acts of Bhakti (or devotion) such as flowers, incense and food on the streets as offerings to their Gods. These tiny devotions inspired the name of the company.
