Q. What was your life before teaching yoga?
A. I worked for five years as a Civil Engineer, mostly in Phoenix, Arizona. I had also been actively involved in martial arts for quite a few years and was teaching martial arts on the side.
Q. Why did you start practicing yoga?
A. Initially, as “cross-training” for martial arts. I saw it as another way to expand my physical capacity and deepen bodymind awareness.
Q. What is your guilty pleasure?
A. Hands down, coffee.
Q. What does a typical day look like in your life?
A. The scheduling varies a lot each day… each day typically contains some delicious food, a dog walk, some type of breath/yoga practice, teaching a class or two, working therapeutically with private clients, organizing and marketing classes and workshops, and some downtime with my partner.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 – 10 years?
A. Life keeps surprising me… relentlessly. I’m going to leave the projections a mystery.
Q. How did you come to Santosha?
A. Initially, through connecting with Alastair and Candace about offering an Acroyoga workshop.
