Natasha Peace

I can’t even imagine my life without yoga. Each day I am reminded about the beauty and simplicity of life, even in the most chaotic of situations. Yoga has helped me see more clearly and find peace within myself and others. It has been a continuous journey.

Who am I? No different from you . . . here is a little about my experience. I actually think yoga found me! I feel like I woke up for the first time on my mat. I vaguely remember how I even arrived for my first class; there I was bored out of my mind, stretching and breathing. I disliked my first class and then I discovered ashtanga yoga, which I instantly fell in love with.
I loved the connection of breath and movement simultaneously moving in harmony like a dance. I completed my ashtanga teacher training in 2001 with Rockne White and my sattva training with Rameen Peyrow in 2011. I have been teaching since 2001 and it is the best job – it doesn’t even feel like a job as I love it so much! I feel so blessed to share the practice of yoga with so many wonderful people. I love hearing the stories of so many who have woken up to the gift that is their life.
I am amazed and intrigued by the power of our breath and the direct relationship to our minds and bodies.
The teachers who have influenced my teaching and passion for life are Rockne White, Nancy Gilgoff, Fiona Stang, Danielle Pechie, Susi Hately Aldous, Suzette O’Byrne, Gert Van Leeuwen, Rameen Peyrow, my family, friends and each and every one of my students.
